Plant-Biased (PBN) values your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account information: When you register or accept an invitation, we collect basic information such as name and email address.
Profile information: You may add optional details to your profile (city, state, occupation, skillsets, contact). You control what you include and what others can see. If you don't want users to see any information, leave it blank.
Technical information: Our cloud server provider (e.g. AWS, Google, Digital Ocean) may collect non-personal system analytics (IP address, browser type, server metrics) to help operate and secure the service.
We use your information to create and manage your account, deliver invitation and registration emails, and keep the site secure and reliable. At present, emails are used for account setup only. If we introduce additional notifications or marketing in the future, we will notify users and provide opt-in or opt-out choices.
Profile information is visible only to other logged-in members. Email addresses and usernames are never displayed to other members unless you explicitly add them into a visible profile field. We do not sell or trade personal data.
We use industry-standard security practices and trusted third parties (for example Google for SMTP) to protect user data. While we strive to keep data safe, no system is completely immune to risk.
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data. Requests may be made by contacting us. After a deletion request, we will remove your profile and personal information unless retention is required by law.
We use minimal cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use behavioral advertising cookies. Basic system analytics may be processed by our hosting provider to monitor uptime and performance.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the site prior to taking effect.
